Comenius University Exam Results: When They Come

In short. In 2026, the faculty said results come within 30 days of the exam. It publishes no pass mark and no maximum score. So nobody can tell you the exact score that gets you in. You can register only once a year, so choose your one exam date with care.

This guide covers the English General Medicine programme at the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava.

When do the Comenius results come out?

• Within 30 days of your exam: that is what the faculty said in 2026.
• Enrolment: it was on 14 September in 2026.
• The 2027 dates: not published yet.

The faculty's pages do not say how you see your result. So ask the Study Department before your exam. The Comenius guide has its address and questions to copy.

The chart shows the year ahead. Each 2027 month is expected, based on the 2026 dates.

What score gets you into Comenius?

Nobody can give you a true number. The faculty has published no pass mark and no maximum score (checked September 2026).

• "800 points": you may see this number on forums. The faculty publishes no maximum score, so do not plan around it.
• Minus points: they are gone. The faculty changed the rule, so older advice about minus points is out of date.
• How a question scores now: a wrong answer scores 0. Two answers marked also score 0.

So never leave a question blank: a wrong answer costs you nothing.

Some students post their scores online. Those numbers cannot be checked, so we do not quote them.

What you can control is the booklets. Every exam question comes from the faculty's two booklets, with 500 questions each. The more of the 1,000 you know well, the better your chance. Our booklet study plan splits them by week.

One registration a year: choose your date with care

You can register for General Medicine only once each academic year. So choose your one exam date with care.

• Exam dates in 2026: March (online), June (online) and August (online or in person).
• Outside the EU? The faculty says to sit in March or June only (2026 rules), because the visa takes time.
• August 2026 registration: from 4 June to 23 July. In person, it closed on 16 July. Documents were due by 23 July.
• March or June 2027 registration: not published yet. Ask the Study Department now when it opens.
• Fee: EUR 99 per application, not refunded (2026/27).

Admitted? Your next steps

After admission, a few documents can follow:

• Health papers: proof of medical fitness, and proof of hepatitis B vaccination.
• Nostrification, if you need it: this is official recognition of your diploma by a Slovak regional school office.

The faculty's guide says to start nostrification as soon as you are admitted. Here is what it says about it:

• The fee: EUR 7 for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and China. EUR 40 for all other countries. Austria is not on the EUR 7 list, so EUR 40.
• The time: the faculty calls it a long process.
• Why it matters: you cannot enrol without it.

The faculty's guides do not say if a recognition statement replaces nostrification. So ask the Study Department before you apply, not after admission. The Comenius guide has its address and a question to copy.

Then come enrolment and tuition:

• Enrolment: 14 September in 2026.
• Tuition: EUR 13,000 a year (2026/27). You pay the same fee each year for the normal length of the course. If you repeat a year, ask the faculty what that year costs.

Not admitted? SZU is a separate school

There is no second Comenius try in the same academic year. But the Slovak Medical University (SZU) is a separate school, with its own exam.

• SZU's exam day: 1 July in 2026, in person in Bratislava.
• SZU's deadline: apply, pay and post every document by 31 May (2026).

A June or August result comes after that deadline. So if you want SZU as a second chance, apply to both schools by SZU's deadline. It was 31 May in 2026, and the 2027 date is not published yet. Read the SZU guide.

How SZU results differ

SZU works in another way. On exam day, you draw a code, and your test is marked under it.

• Results: published under your code, on SZU's website.
• Ranking: by test points only.
• Who got in (2025/26): scores from 638 down to 355 of 640. That is one year's result, not a promise.
• Not admitted? You can see your file within 10 days of receiving the decision. You can ask the dean for a review within 8 days of receiving it. SZU must answer within 30 days.
