| Who can apply | You need a completed secondary education and a doctor's certificate that you are fit to study, with your hepatitis B vaccination. Apply online in MAIS, SZU's application system: SZU asks you to use the Firefox browser. Then post the signed, printed form with: your school-leaving certificate with an apostille and an authorised Slovak translation; your recognition document; proof of the EUR 70 payment; a CV in English; your birth certificate with an authorised Slovak translation; a copy of your passport or ID card; and one 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo. School in the EU, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the UK, Ukraine, Russia, China or Iceland? You need a recognition statement. From any other country, you need a recognition decision from a Slovak regional school office. You apply and pay separately for each study programme. At enrolment you must show at least two doses of hepatitis B vaccine. | You can register only once per study programme each year. You need a secondary school diploma (EQF level 4). Applicants from outside the EU should take the March or June exam, because a visa takes time. |

How to choose
Choose SZU if
you would rather study from a public topic list than learn a pool of booklet questions. SZU's list: 21 topics, no physics (see the SZU guide).
Choose Comenius if
you like a fixed question pool (every exam question comes from the faculty's two booklets), or you are from outside the EU: the faculty points you to its earlier exams, because a visa takes time.
Apply to both
for two exams in one year. They are separate universities, each with its own fee.

One exception: if we cancel the course, you get back the course part of the price, not the practice part, and we offer you a place in a later course where one exists (Terms, section 8). If you live in the EU and buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer law of your country also protects you (Terms, section 12).
